(Psychic News) San Juan man loses $1,000 in alleged psychic scam (KGBT 4 Rio Grande Valley)

San Juan police are asking the public for help finding two women who used an egg and alleged psychic powers to con a man out of approximately $1,000 dollars. The egg scam happened when the two women drove up to Juan Rodriguez’s home on the 100 block of West Alfredo Street in San Juan. The elderly man allegedly interpreted that as a sign of bad luck and handed eight or nine one hundred dollar bills along with other loose bills totaling approximately $1,000. Police said the alleged fortune teller is described as a Hispanic female in her late 30′s to early 40′s, with hazel eyes, thick brows and brown hair. I guess we could double his money if someone were to open a bank account in his name, in the spirit of the upcoming holidays we could open our hearts and wallets and help this poor gentleman in his time of need. I hope this women are caught, but I seriously doubt it since the police are probably not going to pay any attention to this case other than laugh at the poor man behind his back (they laugh at our plights all the time, I have seen it), and file the report on a place never to be found again. read more

Harvey Wasserman: Jackson Browne Nails Nuke Power on Colbert Report (HuffingtonPost)(Psychic News)

In 1978 he joined Pete Seeger and Arlo Guthrie before 20,000 opponents of New Hampshire’s Seabrook Nuclear Power at what was until that time the biggest demonstration against a reactor in U. After an October 23 media conference and lobby day in Congress, the bill was withdrawn, marking what may be remembered as a critical landmark turning point in the fight against nuclear power. One nuclear plant will cost at least $8 billion to build and at least $8 billion to decommission in present value dollars. If you take the $8 billion to decommission and the “whole depreciated life” at 27 years of a nuke plant or actual probable “real life” at 40 years and put future dollar ( at safe 6% annual inflation of a dollar) you get decommissioning at maybe $20 billion in future dollars. Thanks, I’m really enjoying the radiation from all that coal power fly ash (coal is the only real alternative to nuclear power as a base load generator). read more
