Cleland, about as down-to earth as you get, admits psychic counselling and business acumen don’t traditionally go hand-in-hand. At the same time, Cleland, who has been a psychic for more than 20 years, said many business leaders remain reluctant to publicly admit seeking the advice of a psychic. Psychic News - ‘Medium’s’ future is looking interesting (New York Daily News)

The new twist, revealed at the conclusion of the epic three-part finale last time around, is that Allison DuBois (Patricia Arquette) has been “outed” as a woman with psychic powers. Huston is well-cast as Keener, who is initially skeptical of Allison’s gift and whose presence should further tip the show away from psychic visions and toward crime investigation, something TV viewers are known to embrace. This isn’t hammered home at first, but subtly dramatized in a wonderful scene where Allison seems almost incidentally to be spending a great deal of time getting peanut butter out of a jar and onto a piece of bread. Naturally, the new cops don’t want to hear what she has to say - “You’re toxic,” she’s told, bluntly - so, in desperation, she calls a private “crime tips” hotline, which is how she gets together with Cynthia Keener. Emmy winner and Golden Globe nominee Arquette remains solid as the reluctant keeper of psychic power - something every kid probably dreams of having, but which for her turns out to be a very mixed blessing. read more
